Hello New England

On Sat 9/29 I crossed the NY/CT border, officially entering the New England section of the AT. The weather continued to be rainy and on the warm side--70s in the day--making for some uncomfortable hiking. Where is the beautiful Fall weather? Although the CT section of AT is only 50 miles there's a lot of diversity. Several steep rocky climbs, riverine walks along the beautiful Housatonic, and the beginnings of dense forests of hemlock, ferns, and birches.

    It was so nice being able to Hike with you again and see a little section of the AT in CT. Strange town but a great trail experience! Made me appreciate even more what you went through for 501 miles. Great job my Pal, impressive journey! OXO
